RUPTURE is a new theatre company founded by Corinne Salisbury in 2025.

About Corinne Salisbury – Executive Producer and Founder of RUPTURE
Corinne has over 15 years’ experience as a producer specialising in new writing, new work and small-scale touring.
She started out working in administrative roles for small companies with big ambitions, and did a 4-year stint at Hampstead Theatre in London where she caught the passion for new writing. She then worked for 2 years as shared General Manager for a consortium of new writing companies, based in the (then) central London offices of Paines Plough.
Corinne moved to Scotland in 2015 and established herself as a freelance producer, while also developing her playwriting practice, with support from Playwrights’ Studio Scotland, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, National Theatre of Scotland, the Peggy Ramsay Foundation, Cove Park, Imaginate, Capital Theatres and the Tron Theatre among many others.
As a producer she has worked with over 20 theatre and dance companies across the UK – including nabokov, Tangled Feet, the Bush Theatre, In Motion
Theatre, Notnow Collective, The Faction, Tavaziva Dance, the DH Ensemble, 59 Productions, Les Enfants Terribles, Emma Brunjes Productions and Francesca Moody Productions – in various roles including project producer, tour-booker, consultant and fundraiser/bid writer. She worked for 2 years within the core producing and management team for Theatre Uncut. She spent 5 years as Executive Producer with Fifth Word: acclaimed East Midlands new writing company who tour plays that tell unheard stories and platform marginalised writers; for whom she produced the work of superb writers including Olivier-nominated James Fritz and George Devine Award-winning Jane Upton. She is currently working as Maternity Cover Producer with Jordan & Skinner; and has been regular Producer with Scotland’s foremost laboratory theatre Company of Wolves since 2020.
Immersed in the new writing scenes in London and then Scotland for many years, this accumulation of experience drives Corinne’s passion for producing the highest quality new plays on the Scottish stage. Plays that challenge, that pose questions with no easy answers, that shine a light on things we sometimes might prefer to look away from. And that are dynamic and galvanising too; a call to action, not an invitation to wallow; driven by movement, music, and text; a burst of energy that only live theatre can be.
